Our First Month

Catherine will be a month old on Monday April 28, John and I have both learned so much in the last month, I'll highlight some.

1) People told us that we would never love someone as much as we would love her from the minute we first saw her...boy were they ever right.

2) Breastfeeding is HARD and it's not something that comes naturally and no matter how bad you wanted to do it sometimes it just doesn't work for you or the baby.

3) Seeing your husband who was petrified of holding newborns, holding and finger feeding your one day old is more than amazing!

4) 3 days in the hospital and 4 at home without going to outside will make a women go crazy (and her husband too).

5) Taking a 7 day old to the Mall won't hurt her although people will tell you other wise.
6) A baby can go from being fast asleep to screaming in 1 second.

7) Perfect strangers will tell you that your baby is beautiful and you can't help but beam

8) You find a whole new respect and love for your own mum.

9) Waking up in the middle night isn't that bad when you look down and see your baby fast asleep and smiling the biggest smile you've ever seen.

10) Going out with a baby isn't hard, you just have to be organized, you'll forget things (sometimes more than once) and each time you do it, it gets easier.
