Today we headed downtown to see the Ken"Ducky" Derby, it's a race (of course) of the rubber duck kind. On our way down to the park we ran into John's cousin David and his daughter Abby and we had already planned to meet up with Granny, Uncle Paul, Aunt Monika and Sydney. We all grabbed some lunch and then headed to buy some ducks.
We bought Catherine 6 ducks for fun (and because all the money goes to a great cause). We then headed down to the falls so we could see all the ducks fall over the falls. We decided to wait and stay until the winners were announced, I'm not sure why we stayed because 20,000 ducks had been entered into the race.
Just as we were thinking of leaving, we heard the best thing. "In 13th place...I hope that Catherine Swanger of Mauldin is a Clemson fan because she just won a Clemson University sports package" - We all just looked at each other, she's one lucky duck (as we are now calling her), out of 20,000 ducks one of her 6 came in 13th.
